What does the WooCommerce age verification plugin do?
The age verification plugin checks a customer is old enough at checkout for vape, CBD and other age restricted products, logs the result against every order and reminds the courier to check age on delivery. It is free with an eCom Pay account and is part of every vape and CBD site eCom Pro builds.
Selling age restricted products with a tick box?
A "Yes, I am over 18" box is the weakest check there is. The age verification plugin checks age at checkout, logs the result on the order and flags deliveries that need an age check at the door.

Age verification plugin questions
Which products need age verification?
In the UK, vape and e cigarette products are age restricted to over 18s, and many CBD and other restricted products are sold to adults only. The plugin applies checks to the categories you choose.
Is the plugin free?
Yes, with an eCom Pay account. It is included on eCom Pro vape and CBD websites. Stores not on eCom Pay can licence it, priced on request.
Is the check stored with the order?
Yes. The result is logged on every order, so you have a record if you are ever asked.
Does it replace an age check on delivery?
No. It adds a check at checkout and flags orders for an age check at the door, which together give you the strongest position.
